This elevator is awesome. The Banting Institute is slated for demolition this month in favor of a new building. It is a shame that we are losing this cool vintage structure, but it is what it is. This is one stunning hotel. The elevator are no exception. These are Otis elevators using Innovation parts for the fixtures and indicators. The cabs and architecture as a whole is incredible. I highly suggest stopping in and checking this place out if you are at Disneyland Resort. This elevator, as of this particular visit, has escaped modernization. I do not know if this elevator has been modernized since as I have not been back here since this particular day. This elevator is in quite good condition. Whatever is above the drop ceiling tile definitely needs to be removed. Also, the floor in this elevator looks new, but the cab is otherwise original. This is the famous Westinghouse Signal Control elevator. To the elevator community's knowledge, this is the only remaining operating example in the United States. We all know these elevators. These are quite famous. The MT buttons were very sticky when this video was filmed. On a separate Vegas trip (June 2024), I took a quick ride on these elevators (no video) and the buttons were extremely clean. It was a nice contrast. Those cabs are a fantastic combination of classic and modern. I’m having trouble debating whether or not the Innovation looks better here than the standard Otis buttons
I was stay in there at the Mirage for the Super Bowl weekend back in February of this year
I LOVE the sony T series! I have gotten them all out again!! I absolutely LOVE LOVE the T900, The TX100v, and of course the TX 10, 20, and 30 The 100V is OLED. Do you still have yours? Mine has some cracks on it.
Woah! This video brings back some memories. I still have mine, but the N-type batteries no longer hold charge. My TX-10 & TX-9 no longer work, but I believe the TX-100V still will work. I love these cameras. I also have a T900 that I scored at a liquidation sale in 2015, factory sealed.
I need to revisit these elevators. I need to see them at night since I only have been there during the day.
I have not seen them at night either. That would be so cool to experience.
These will be missed for sure. I wonder if Otis might modernize these or not.

Not near the convention center. These are down a strange hallway at the Grand Canal Shoppes on the Venetian side of the resort, very close to the start of the Palazzo. The hallway takes you to that mezzanine entrance in front of the property.
